One of the things I like best about living in a huge city is the subway. I like this for a plethora of reasons, mainly because I hate driving and am prone to road rage caused by, "idiots," but there are other benefits as well. Perhaps the thing I like best about commuting by subway is it gives me a solid hour and a half or so of reading time per day.I like reading, but when I was living in America it was hard to make time to do so, because I was either at work, or at school, or drunk, or playing some kind of crappy video game where you either have to beat up prostitutes or save the world from cut scenes or something. I tried to make time, but reading while trying to maneuver a Ford Taurus doesn't really work all that well...and I'm prone to motion sickness in cars for some reason.
Fortunately for everyone I moved and can ride the subway to work everyday, and every day I get my read on just like I did in the summer in elementary school when our town library had some sort of reading event, that I only vaguely remember. This summer I've been trying to mix up my summer reading list so I've read a lot of history books and then every once in awhile I'll read some ridiculous fantasy novel to break up the monotony.
Right now I'm reading a book about Templars, because I saw some deal about them on the History channel and decided Templars would be an awesome thing to read about and added some book to my basket the last time I ordered junk from Amazon. On deck after my Templars book is The Zombie Survival Guide. After that I've got nothing to read besides Koko's Kitten, but I already read that book with LaVar Burton in the early 1980s. So if you got some awesome summer reading suggestions, let me know. I like books about cats, Dantes, zombies, American historical figures who cause me to yell, "Yeah (American historical figure) fuck those British assholes! USA! USA! USA!", infernos, wizards, dwarves, alternative history, conspiracies, Ramona Quimby, and alt. lit. I don't like romance novels that steal my name but make me a goddamn child-saving doctor.
So if you have any books that fit into any of those categories let me know. If you know of a single book that does...well I'm not sure the world can handle such awesomeness.

Hey, I just found your blog through Prestige Korea's sidebar and I have enjoyed reading it so far.
3 books of absolute awesomeness are:
Marching Powder - Its about a English guy caught smuggling cocaine in Bolivia. The prison is so corrupt/poor that he has to buy his own cell and food. Great read.
Life of Pi - Story about a 12 year old indian boy who is lost out on the sea with a lion in the boat.
Running with scissors - This book is sort of fucked up, but a good read at the same time. Its a autobiography, and in it the kid has the weirdest childhood ever. Including pedophilia, a crazy psychologist/guardian and a mum who doesnt give a fuck.
Life of Pi, I've read already, but the other two books I'll check out the next time I do an Amazon.com order. Thanks for the recomendations.
